I've never been, but, my parents were sued and settled once.

sued warranty company for my car, blown engine in my blazer
they wouldnt replace it, took forever but i finially got enough money to purchase a used motor from them
so i guess i lost

I was sued by a lady for a traffic accident. I rear ended her going about 3 mph.

The insurance company handled everything and she lost

I've never sued anyone, but my parents sued our renter (of our house in Ohio) to recover back rent after he was evicted. They're supposed to be garnishing his wages, but we haven't seen any of it yet. I don't think our lawyer has found him yet...he sorta disappeared after the eviction.

I was on a class action suit vs. Sprint for absolute SH!T service in an area they advertised full coverage in. Of course sprint didn't have a leg to stand on so they tried every dirty trick in the book to get it dismissed or shelved but ultimately we won and I got a whopping $100.
