Last night, during the final round of taboo, the opposing team somehow scored 6 to come back and win by one. Remember, this was the final round, and so many a drink has been drunk, and many a drunks were yelling random things at the top of their lungs to distract them.

I was playing BF2 yesterday and my team ending up winning when we were 21-85 at a point.

Other than that... I suck at sports.

Each of us can often snatch victory from the jaws of defeat

if we listen to that old I Ching dictum:

Perseverance furthers!"

Or in USA parlance, "Never say die!",

or as I often say to myself when fighting my way through barriers, "I can make it if I try!"

Many times in tennis - have come back from being waaaaaaaaaaaaay behind. My favorite memory - quarterfinals of our college intramural tournament, was playing the same guy who beat me (6-0, 6-0) in the same tournament the year before. Lost the first set again 6-0, managed to stay on serve the 2nd set but was down 4-5, 0-30...proceded to get really pissed off at myself and serve 3 consecutive aces and a service winner to hold serve at 5-5, endned up winning the 2nd set 7-6 in a tie-break. The proceded to dismantle the guy 6-1 in the 3rd set.
That was really satisfying 😀

When I was younger, this girl I used to run with told me that she was pregnant and I was the father. It looked like I was going to be on the hook for 18 freaking years. Then the baby came and it was black! I was like "in your face, b1tch!, which is how I should have done it the first time!"

Yes, the highlight of my sporting career... 6th grade

It was the last game of the basketball season, our team was terrible, IIRC we had a 1-9 record so the game really didn't matter, nevertheless being six graders we played our hearts out every game.

So anyway... last game of the season... us against the second place team, we managed to keep the score close but they pulled ahead 45-47 with 6 seconds left in the game. With no timeouts I demanded the ball from the inbounder, quickly dribbled to half court and launched a three point hail mary prayer from the furthest corner of the half court...

Bank... In...

The place went bananas... our coach started to roll on the floor, everyone rushed the court and started shakin' the sh!t out of me... it was great

ahh childhood
Did you score anything for the score?
Sixth grade? You kidding me? Dem hos be all ova him!

Happens all the time in games, especially RTS games. Frozen Throne & C&C Zero Hour, killed to a few units and then rebuilt and win the game. 😛
