Once, when I was around 13. I felt so guilty, I knew then that I wouldn't be in sales or marketing.

I did when I was around 11-12. A few GI Joe's, some batteries etc. I was going to take a scientific calculator, had it in my pants when I noticed a guy looking right at me from around the corner. I took it out and put it back on the shelf and walked out. Right when I got outside the guy ran out and yelled at me to give it back and I told him I didn't take anything. That was the last time. Feel pretty stupid about doing it. It was never because I didn't have the money, mostly for the rush I guess.

Only once. In the late 80's, when I was like 5 or 6, I took a tiny little Virgo horoscope scroll while waiting in line at the Kroger checkout with my mom. I'm pretty sure I still have it somewhere. I actually thought they were free at the time, but after a couple of years I started to doubt that was true.

I can see why you would think that.

Stole a haircut once. I went to Astor Place haircutters in Manhattan and they give you a ticket to pay. There was some fuss at the payment counter and I just walked out...lol

HAHAHA!

But I have to tell you. Based on your avatar, do you even have hair? :D

Never shop lifted. When I was a kid I was with some friends who, unbeknownst to me, shop lifted and got caught. I was dragged into the security office with the others, but having nothing in my pockets I was turned loose. Still scared the crap out of me: I wasn't worried about the store's security, I was worried about my father.

Just last week was in a store and saw a guy get busted by the manager for shoplifting. The employees were confirming the guy had lifted more than $20 in merchandise. Apparently unless it's $20 or more the cops here won't pick you up and stick in you jail for at least overnight.
