Have you ever seen something so beautiful you cried?

I was taking pictures of a sunrise last winter, but I was a little drunk and emotional. I had never really watched a sunrise proper before that.

I watched a homeless guy give another homeless guy his blanket and cup of soup once. He leaned down, said a few words, gave it over and walked off. I saw him a few hours later lying on a bench without a blanket.

I went home and got him a blanket and about 30 cans of soup in an old bag and gave it to him just because he was so kind hearted and I knew he would make sure people who needed it would get it. Acts of kindness like that always make me cry, I'm a sucker for that shit 😛 My ex and mom teased me to no ends for getting teary eyed over newspaper humanitarian stories

OP what was it you saw? That sounds awesome.

I was given a six pack of Guinness by a man who accidentally let his shopping cart ding my car. I cried tears of happiness and drank all six bottles later that evening whilst listening to classic U2 (Joshua Tree) and reminiscing of my USMC days.

How Beautifully American of you.

Regarding the thread topic,

I came close to shedding tears at my best friends' wedding. Was the best man and had known both of them through all four years of college ... seeing her walk down the aisle was surprisingly moving. Watery eyes.

Not by visual settings or anything like that...sometimes when my daughter smiles at me it gives me a little bit of a overwhelmed feeling i guess

Not sure if I've ever cried due to sheer beauty. I've cried to death, tragedy, heartbreak, acts of extreme kindness and laughing really hard.

I was in Nice a few years ago. It was a beautiful day, but, all of a sudden in started raining. As my buddy and I ran for cover, I saw this homeless guy sitting against a building. There wasn't anything special about him, except that he had this beautiful dog sitting next to him. As the rain started, he pulled out a tiny little umbrella, opened it up, and held it over the dog to keep him dry. I don't think anything has ever touched me quite like that.

The whole sky was orange and pink. It was pretty cool.

I should have poured a scotch thinking back to it....

I just wanted to post that.

For acemcmac.
