Have you ever seen anything this weird? Add/Remove Programs is missing!!!

Yep, that's right, I didn't notice when it happened, but Add/Remove programs simply disappeared.

Its not in the control panel, and its not hidden (when you delete shortcuts, it displays a shortcut, and that short cut doesnt work either).


I just reinstalled win2k yesterday if anyone is wondering...

do a search for appwiz.cpl, should be in \WINNT\System32\, that is your add/remove programs control panel, try opening it.

hmmn, I found it. I searched for appwiz.cpl and its on my HD, however when I run it from its folder, it it gives me error messages.


Anyone know a solution to this?

perhaps it will work if someone sends me their .cpl file.

Try putting it in the WINNT\System32\ directory.
