Have you ever seen anyone get murdered or killed?

I saw a couple of people die after a car wreck a few weeks ago. Nothing I could do. Car suddenly appeared heading directly towards us on the interstate and slammed head on into the car in front of me. Pretty fcked up.

I was walking on the street with my best friend when I was about 11 and saw a guy shoot himself in the head - right there in the middle of the street.

what was the story ?

Not much of one. My family was driving out in the country and we saw a dead guy against a rock with some ambulances parked nearby. There was some blood on his face but I don't have a clue as to what happened.

I was sitting in a Whataburger one night late after a night a drinking eating something. It was about 2 AM and we were sitting by the window looking out at the highway. It was a 4 lane divided highway with the concrete barriers in between. All of a sudden I saw a guy hopping over the barrier and he started to cross the remaining 2 lanes go get to where we where. I pointed the guy out to my buddy and told him that guy was going to get hit by a car. A flash later a car going at least 55 mph hits him square with the center of the bumper and the guy flies into the windshield and up over the top of the car onto the pavement. We were the first people there and the guy was already dead.

Twice. First time was when I was probably in 3rd grade. Old lady in a scooter got ran over and dragged underneath an 18 wheeler while crossing the street. I saw the event in it's entirety.

Second time was in San Juan Puerto Rico a few years ago where a Domino's Pizza delivery guy on a scooter got hit by another car and got tossed on to the sidewalk. I only saw the aftermath. He was breathing very heavily but didn't make it. Ambulance arrived too late.

Yes, I have murdered someone. (j/k)

I bet no one here has witnessed a murder! Because murderers usually leave witnesses! 😀

Sorry for my craziness but I just finished watching Munich.

Damn, I take back my "no one here has witnessed a murder" because judasmachine posted before me!

I just feel I could of/should of stopped it, but I watched a friend shoot his girlfriend.

well that's phuked up. did you freeze?

pretty much. he came into the party, and they started arguing. i figured it was just a fight in a relationship, no big deal. they both were invited to the party so no one was out of line by being there. i went up to them to see if things were ok, and he just pulled a gun and shot her in the chest. i was about 4 feet away when it went off. he just ran and everyone there just let him run. geezuz, why did i bring this up.

this was about 8 years ago, and yes i had to testify in court. these situations just get uglier and uglier. court was almost as bad as the act.

Does 2 years in combat in Vietnam count? If so, yes. if not, then yes. I witnessed a couple of murders after Vietnam as well....the thiings we humans kill each other over...

maybe a stupid question, but did she die?

what happened after that? did you talk to her or help out?

I saw a couple of corpses on I-85 right outside Auburn. Somebody and their gf were going 130 and flew across the median and hit a minivan killing two women and the gf.

Thank you for fighting 🙂.

Yes, I have witnessed someone's death. A classmate got run over by a concrete truck a month and a half ago. I biked right passed the scene, but didn't realize it was him. Then, at night, I heard it was him.

Damn, man 🙁.

During the USS Inchon fire, I held the light for the crew as they took Palm's body out of the stairwell port side midships. When the carried the body through the flight deck to shore (we were moored at the time), every single person there stood at attention. People that were absolutely tired and drained from fighting the fire (stay time was calculated to be about 5 minutes) stood at attention, which was amazing to see. And the horrible thing is that I had to run through this, while everyone was still and attention, because there were cables that I ahd to secure power to in forward IC. The fire was out in about 45 minutes, but the overhaul took til morning the next day...
