Have you ever seen a shuttle launch in person?

Was just curious as to who has had the experience since I just recently did the NASA tour at Cape Canaveral (sp?). During the tour I got to see the VIP section for viewing where I'll be sitting during an upcoming launch. I get VIP access to not the next launch, but the following one. Guess it pays to have a neighbor who is an astronaut and is going up on that mission. 😛

Same thing happened to me. They scrapped the mission 6 seconds to lift off...

Twice when I was a kid. Another three or four times when I was at NTC Orlando and we drive over and watch......
