that wasn't very interesting but you couldn't put it down anyway?
i just finished reading Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman and it wasn't all that interesting until near the end but i just wanted to keep reading it.

Maybe he's just that good at writing? i wish i could write like that.

I've read a lot of books that I didn't really like, but I always like to give them a chance so it is very rare when I don't finish a book.

sometimes i finish reading books that I don't find very interesting for the sake of finishing a book.

I think it's a waste to start a book and not finish it.

that said...there is one book that I haven't been able to finish but it's not b/c it's boring (i hope). It's just a heavy hardcover book and I don't like carrying it around. lol.

I think all of Neil Gaiman's books are that way.

Anansi Boys was the only pure Neil Gaiman book I read so far. I read Good Omens that was done by Terry Pratchett and Neil. That was a good book. I  Terry Pratchett.

also, i'm not saying that you read it all the way through just because you felt you needed to read it, i mean like there was something to the book that kept you coming back. Like i wanted to keep reading because i wanted to find out what happens and also i think Neil has a great way with words.

Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy was like that for me.

Edit: Actually I thought it was really interesting AND I couldn't put it down so I guess not exactly like you described.

I managed to finish American Gods but jeez it just dragged on and on and on. Right now I'm dragging my ass through Slaughterhouse Five.

i feel like im wasting my life when i read

ditto

why?
you'd rather be watching some mind-numbing reality tv show or playing a video game?

why is there such an aversion to reading, especially among younger people? do they have no imagination? do they not want to learn about something? are they just lazy? or is reading not "cool"?

BV would rather be fabricating evidence for his 9/11 conspiracy theories.

I read a book around Christmas break. It was a zombie book and kind of good. I might consider doing it again some day.

Harry Potter 5 was like that for me, I tried to read it then stopped. I forced myself to reread it when the 6th book came out.
