yeah... but since its a rental, i want to do it in the ghettoist fashion. lighter fluid maybe? anyone knows any redneck nitrous tricks?

as for why i don't rent sports cars... first off it doesn't make sense finacinally, second, i can't expense it, third if i do get in trouble it would look bad to be in a sports car rather than a sleeper.

I would go back in time and rent a 1966 Mustang Shelby GT350H

The 'H' stands for Hertz. They made these cars especially for the Hertz rental fleet. The would often come back from a weekend rental with holes drilled into the floor (where the roll cage had been installed ;))

THAT is a rental car...

Back in the mid 90's I had to go to San Jose for a 1 day 3Com class. Since I had to leave the day before I booked the earliest flight out I could and had my rented Chevy Cavalier(?) and was all checked in to my hotel by 10AM. Since the mileage was unlimited I decided to drive out and at least see briefly Yosemite. If memory serves correctly about 50 miles from there I had to climb up a 4-6k mountain. As I was going up I noticed off to the right another road that I had passed going up the same mountain. The sign for it said Old Grade Road when I passed it so I decided I would check it out when I came back. When I went down this thing it was amazingly steeper with less switchbacks than the new and improved one I took up. By the time I got to the bottom smoke was pouring out of the front wheels and there was that wonderful smell of burning brake linings. I was lucky I was able to stop at the stop sign at the bottom of the road. I probably used 6k miles of brakelining in that one drive.

I have a friend who likes to smoke the tires off his rental cars. He will take ANY rental car to do this with. He goes out and finds a secluded piece of asphalt. He parks the car, gets out two quarts of oil, and pours them jsut in front of the drive wheels. he gets into the oil, power brakes, and lets it rip. Of course this friend always takes someone to make sure they get pictures of the billowing clouds of smoke! He had a few movies too, but he has since lost them. Never heard of him getting charged extra for it...

get a slick willy, a cheater bottle of nitrous and plumb it into the intake-airbox on the car and you can drop about 75 shot and make your neon go really fast.

there used to be a dude that was the rent-a-car man at the drag strip. He would rent a car, juice it, and tear it up at the drag strip every weekend get a new car :)

folks bleach, cheap and produces a white smoke cloud.

When i was younger and had a beater, i took the windshield spray jets and rerouted them to the tires. I could do massive bleach burnouts all day long and it looked cool as hell.
