If I'm not mistaken, Sapphire wrote up a description of their 9800 Pro card, then to make the description for the non-pro card they did a search and replace to delete all references to "pro" from the pro description...

Take a look:

Pro description
Non-pro description

(look for words that start with Pro in the pro decsription, then find the same word in the non-pro description!)

This slipshod work then ends up propagated across the internet,
Check out the description at BananaPC for example...

Hilarious, huh?

To stay on topic, I have seen many 9800 non-pro's for $250 or under, but which has the best memory? Are any better than the 3.3ns Samsung on the Sapphire at Newegg?

well doesn't that tell you something... SAME CORE! yep

Yes the highly praised samsung 3.3 is the newegg.com Saphire 9800. I was bored today and i finally pushed my saphire to its max.

My max stable oc was: 442/373
thats over 150mhz OC on the memory!!!

Since i don't need that speed im keeping it at: 401/351
