Met Howie Mandel in Las Vegas this November. We were all waiting for the private MGM Grand SkyLofts elevator and it requires a key card scan, but none of ours wanted to work at first, so we kinda joked around for a few minutes. Seemed cool, but none of us even acknowledged who he was. He actually did push the call button with his elbow lol.

Did you shake his hand D:

I've met lots of professional hockey players.. various teams, various coaches. They're all nice people.

I know Mary Lynn Rajskub. Her dad and my dad worked together.. and she lived just a few streets over from me. I went to her high school graduation party when I was a young child (4 yrs old, but I remember it lol).. went to Fishbones in Detroit when she worked there a lot, went to her going away party when she moved out west.. etc. She's pretty funny. I haven't seen her in quite a while though.. probably since she started on the show 24.

I've met Jeff Daniels a few times in the ice rink growing up. He's a dick in real life and doesn't like to be funny like in Dumb and Dumber.

I met John McCain and Lindsey Graham when they came to my work (DTE Fermi 2).. only saw them for a brief few moments and shook hands after they spoke.. took pics with them, etc.

I met the CEO of my company (DTE - Tony Earley).. he's a really cool guy. We talked for a good 15 minutes about all the bullshit carbon legislation that is going to take the company out of business.. lol. We also talked about hunting and stuff.

I met Evander Holyfield right after he got his ear bit off by Mike Tyson. He was standing behind me in line to see the Bugatti Veyron concept car. I looked up at him and looked at his ear and he half smiled and his body guards gave me a dirty look.. lol. He then whipped out his check book and bought a Veyron concept car on the spot.

I completely forgot to add to my list that when my mom was young, she used to babysit for Bing and Katherine Crosby. When I was a kid, we'd get invited over to their house when they were in Spokane. Met his kids as adults too.

I've met quite a few bands, though none of them I feel are all that popular. Met a decent amount of local sports folk like John Elway, Joe Sakic, etc... Not any actors or anything though.

Famous people are almost... human! There are nice ones, and there are pr*cks.

Haven't met 'worldfamous' people I think. Most were just famous in their field of work, but not outside that. And if you don't start acting like a freak you can have a normal conversation with most of them.

When i worked retail, i worked at a Barnes & Noble. We used to do alot of book signings, so i've met quite a few authors. We've had Stephen King, Anne Rice, John Grisham, etc.. The one person that really stood out to me was former NYC Mayor Ed Kotch. He is REALLY tall.. people didn't realize but he's like 6'5 or something.

saw layne flack outside of the bellagio? i think it was in vegas. didnt stop but overheard him complaining about a bad beat he just took.

I've met a few famous people, but my fave story about it would have to be when I met Ludacris is DC. My family was visiting and I was taking around and showing them the sights. We were about a block away from the DC "Aquarium" and there was a hot dog stand nearby. We all stopped to grab a quick bite before continuing our journey and then a black van pulled up. This short guy gets out along with 3 very large guys accompanying him. The short one goes up to the hot dog stand and exclaims "OH SNAP!! THEY GOT CHICKEN HOT DOGS!! MAN, I LOVE A GOOD CHICKEN HOT DOG!" I recognized the voice immediately and waited for him to turn around - sure enough, it was Ludacris!

So now I always associate chicken hot dogs with Luda.

quite a few, Nick Nolte bought my uncle's house nearby about 7-8 years ago...most have been pretty damn normal. A few were cocks.

I met Ben Stein at college. He was in line at the food court wearing a suit and sneakers, he's basically the same IRL as he is in his various tv/movie roles.

Met R. Lee Ermy. Seemed like a really nice guy. Didn't get to say too much as he was being escorted by some General.

Was playing pool one time and buddies and I were ogling this hot blonde chick in a very revealing outfit a couple tables over. Kept wondering why she was with this really short skinny guy dressed like a douche, who kept shooting us dirty looks. My friend connected the dots when people were getting autographs (which he had no problem signing). Turned out to be Eminem. Quite the tense moment when he left as he made it a point to walk past our table, which wasn't on the way towards the exit, while him and his rather huge body guard glared at us.

I chit chatted for about 2 minutes with Salma Hayek at an art gallery. She's really nice and polite and yes, she's as hot as in the movies/pics.

Let's see:

Lou Ferrigno, I was 10 and he was eating at Norm's in Santa Monica and a really big dude. The Hulk was on TV in those days. Around that time I met Toni Tenille and the CHiPs guys.

Super Dave(really cool)
Darryl Strawberry
Kris Kristofferson(leathery)
Magic
Level 42
OMD
Midge Ure
Stanley Clarke
Stewart Copeland
Justine Bateman

Met Chuck Norris when he came to Iraq on a USO tour. Got to talk to him for a minute, took a picture with him.

He is actually a very down to earth, cool guy. He put his arm around me to take a picture and I could feel that he was carved out of wood, I'm not kidding, it was like hugging an oak tree.

I didnt think to do anything crazy, other than say whats up to him and take a pic next to him. Other guys came up and asked if they could have the honor of getting kicked in the face by him, and believe it or not, Chuck obliged! Ok not really but good enough to make an awesome pic for fans. He could hold his leg out straigt, right up to your face, and hold it until you said you had a good pic. Other people asked if they could take pictures holding him in a head lock, and/or punching him in the face, he was very cool and as far as I know, granted everyones silly requests for posed pics.

Oh yeah and I saw Lindsay Lohan at South Beach a few yers ago, this was at the height of her cocaine binge, she looked like she weighed 90 pounds, her bikini was falling off of her. Had she not been swarming with Paparrazzi, I wouldn't have figured out it was her. She looked absolutely disgusting, crack whore hookers that were walking the beach looked 10x better than she did.

My "famous people" connections.

I was in a movie with Robert Redford. He shook my dad's hand and called me a cute kid.

I went to high school with Jerry Garcia's daughter. Didn't know her personally though. She was 2 years ahead of me.

My mom and dad were friends with Joe Walsh before he got famous. My dad used to sing and play guitar with him.

Met quite a few acts (comedy/musical) when I was in the club responsible for entertainment events during college. Most of them were just normal people (ironically the less famous ones seemed to have the biggest chips on their shoulders).

My favorite was meeting Bill Nye when I was 12. Just an all-around awesome person who's passionate about his profession, and loves sharing his knowledge with others.

I met and had brief conversations with Bill Clinton (after his presidential term), George Bush (during his term), and Obama.

These I just shook hands/met for a brief moment with:
Al Gore
Chuck Norris
Patrick Stewart
