Have you ever heard an online anacronym/phrase in mainstream media?

Apparently, there is a Halo 2 tournament happening soon. And the local schlep DJ doing the advertisement says something to the effect of: "Are you ready to pwn(own)?". I friggin cringe everytime the commercial comes on.

I've said this before, language & anacronyms that are the mainstay online, simply do not work in real life. They come off sounding beyond gay.

I do that.... sort of. I laugh and in the middle sometimes i will say "Lowl".
