Yes this happens between all roommmates, and food arguements are dumb. Now beer on the other hand is worth fighting over. So quit being a greedy bastard and just eat something else that he bought.

Because I went to the grocery store just yesterday. Of course I tossed the receipt and all I have to show for it is a single charge on my debit card.

I really shouldn't let my roommate get away with taking some of my drinks and/or food. I don't mind him taking some every now and then, but if he makes a habit out of it I'll have to retaliate. Just because I'm short and relatively calm emotionally doesn't mean I won't react to being used as a doormat. Or I could just be passive aggressive and take some of HIS food...

Good point, steak is right up there with beer. But the man buying steak should also ask the roommate or friend in advance if they want to pitch in. Especially if this steak will be cooked on a grill.
