Have you ever had Federal Jury Duty before?

They just sent me a form that I'm required to return (although if my parents would let me, I'd just burn it and let them throw me in prison, but they won't let me and either they or the tax payer would have to pay court costs and the tax payer would have to pay prison costs anyway).

They're definitely going to call me in for an interview, so I need to write a check to the IRS (more than enough to make up for what I'm going to be paid if I have to serve the state).

However, I don't want to serve the state. My mom doesn't know what kind of questions they ask that could be disqualifiers. If you've taken it, do you know if being an Anarcho-Capitalist/Confederalist could get me disqualified?

I can certainly reason to them as to why I believe the Constitution is illegal but I don't know if they ask things like that. I do believe that the "terrorists" should go unpunished and that the U.S. needs to cut its ties off with the Middle East. I'm also not even sure that they exist as the Federal government says they do. I believe that the 14th Amendment is Unconstitutional (I don't see how it couldn't be), even though it Amended something that I believe was already illegal.

All of that said, I can't be impartial, but what kind of proof do they require that I can't be impartial? Or is being biased not even a disqualifier?

There's no way in hell I can do this, because I realized I can't even write the IRS a check after visiting their website. I'm against it in the first place, but I sure as hell don't want to get paid for it. How do you get paid? Is it through a check that you can just burn?

Federal Jury duty is a lot different than state/county jury duty.

You fill out the form, and then they can call you anytime during the next 24 months.

When they call you, it isn't necessarily for a day or one time. When you are called you are selected to be in the jury pool for a entire month. If there is one case and you aren't selected. You don't have to worry about going back.

However, if you are in a busy docket, you could be called repeatedly during the one month period, unless you get seated for a trial. There is no getting dismissed from the pool, just a specific jury.

When I was called in June 2010, there was only one case that month as the federal docket is incredibly slow in my area. I was juror 34 of 35 and didn't get selected. 6 of the first 7 did(only 6 because it was a civil trial). The case was a 1983 excessive force case against a prison guard. One of the questions the judge asked was if I ever had a relative in jail or a relative injured by the police. I have. If I had been in the first 6 I would have been dismissed from that specific jury trial, but not from the pool.

There is however no specific "disqualifier" to get dismissed from the pool. However, act like a douche to the judge and he'll not just dismiss you from the pool but throw you in jail for contempt.

Wow.....just wow.

So I assume you live with your parent and are over 18.

I bet if he had to live in the real world and take care of his own ass that he would not be such an idiot....
Living at home affords you the luxury of being goofy if you so chose!!

Actually, I knew a judge that had an asshat sitting in the jury pool for a simple assault case that would have taken about a half day max. Guy was a loud mouth and invented several bullshit reasons why he did not believe in the criminal justice system, all the while having a huge grin on his face.

Judge excused him and on the way out, directed him to serve on the jury of a civil case that was set for a 7 week trial.
