have you ever had a CPU die, "naturally"?

naturally as in not by user error/force damage/surge etc, just suddnely stopped working due to natural reasons like electromigration?

electromigration isn't really a "natural" cause...it's along the same lines as driving drunk and hitting a pole. The cause of death may be "blunt trauma", but we all know the rest of the story ;)

ok i suppose what i really mean is causes other than some sudden occurance

I once had a CPU die out of the blue... it had been in operation for about a year and it just died one day. This was at my office.

As far as I know, there was no direct trauma to the computer, and it was attached to a UPS system...

I had a computer once that just stopped working. No reason, working great till one day it just didn't do anything at all.

Yep I had an AMD Athlon 2100+ die on me just out of the blue. Took out my DVD-ROM for some reason too.

yes. Matter of fact im not going into detail because its cursed me for about 6 motherboards dead! (3 nfs2 btw)
