Knee surgery after I twisted it. When I came out, I saw a tube coming out of my knee for draining the fluids that build up. After a few days, the doctor came in to take out the tube. He held down my knee, pulled on the tube, and I felt it slideout from under my kneecap.

Never, unless you consider molar extraction for braces and cavity fillings surgery... I sure don't. As an aside, having them removed made room for my wisdom teeth so I didn't have to get those removed... Pity, I'd have liked the codeine :D I have considered plastic surgery to be a bit less ugly, but I'm not sure if it'd be worth it.

One op for a tooth that was too long and another op because another tooth was coming out at a funny angle.

I've never had surgery, but i'm scheduled for surgery on may 1st... im very scared

For? (if you don't mind me asking)

I'm 31, and just had my 5th heart surgery. Had two when I was 19 (the second gave me a pacemaker), and have had 3 more since December. Had my wisdom teeth taken out in 1991, and I also had viral meningitis in 1997. No surgery there, but I was in the hospital for 11 days and had every single test known to man done to me (spinal taps suck).

Yea, I haven't been lucky at all on the medical front. However, I'm still alive and lead a pretty good life.

Wow.. you've had quite the ordeal  to you...

To answer your question.. Im going in for a cutaneous papilloma extraction as well as a reduction mammaplasty :)

I've had none... I think I'd rather suffer from any kind of pain than have surgery.

Just try on a few gall bladder attacks and you'll change your mind really quick! ;)

Just a lobotomy. That's why I am here.;)

Partial colonectomy to correct a birth defect at age 43. ...

That's a hellva long gestation period. What planet are you from?

If I tell you, we'll have to assimilate you. You may not like that procedure...

The birth defect wasn't an issue until then.
Being forced to hold one's BM while on a tour bus is de riguer, especially when on long hauls. No one likes the smell of crap in a holding tank in the summer. And the drivers get paid extra to properly dump said tanks.
Holding one's BM is not healthy to your body.
The defect ( a weakened lower intestinal wall ) finally resurfaced as a collapsed descending colon. The surgeons were able to bisect the undamaged portion so I retain normal functions, as opposed to having to use a colostomy bag.
I like to say I'm no longer as full of sh1t as the rest of y'all. :D

By the way, after surgery, when I had to go, It was coming out NOW. So the band paid the fees and I got to use the toilets on the bus as needed, when a rest stop wasn't forthcoming. By the way, they don't coil anymore, They're as straight as a yardstick.
Aren't you glad you rattled my cage? :disgust:

Been there, done that, assuming my old doc identified my pain correctly. I just rode them out.

C1/C2 spinal fusion this past November. (I'm 22.) They removed some bone from my hip and wired it into place in my neck. Wisdom teeth out is the only other thing so far, but I did that without anything but novicaine since I'm paranoid about meds.

I get to look forward to plenty of joint replacements, since I have rheumatoid arthritis.
