Have you ever gotten a tip working at a job that usually doesn't get tips?

yeah doing carryouts and at first I refused them but I found out some of the other people take them and run, so now tips are appreciated.

Yeah, I used to deliver furniture when I was in college. Got a couple tips (and beers!) while doing that.

I was 17 and working the drive through at McDonalds and an older lady tipped me a dollar and said my voice was very pleasant.

some 50 year old man came into holleywood video to set up an account... i was in a joking mood, so i asked for verification that he was indeed 18.. he thought it was great and tossed a few bucks my way for the "best laugh he'd had in a long while" it was kinda weird... but cool i guess

OK, my boring stories. I got a few tips while working at McD's and lots of compliments on my "drive-through voice," until they put in a new speaker/headset system that sucked for sound quality. What can I say? I had to quit after I no longer got any compliments. That job sucked.

Once when I was outside, "picking up the parking lot," (I actually just needed a smoke break) a dude needed a jump start, so I helped him out and got a $5 from him.
