Waited, and then found out that the manager thought it was the next day?

Had a meeting with the owner of one of the local Real Estate Agencies, as apparently they needed some in-office help. Waited for an hour in the office, then found out that he was stuck in the downtown office for meetings. Just got a message from him that he had thought it was tomorrow, but he wants to reschedule.

Heh, although not quite the same situation, I can imagine what Easy Company felt like when they found out the D-Day drop was cancelled, and they were on 24-hr standby....

The situation is obviously worlds apart, but the feeling is similar. Tense, excited, ready to put to use the preparation for the said event....only to have it delayed.

nah, doesn't work that way, at least in my case. Last year I applied for an at a internship at a local company. Drove the half hour to the meeting, sat in the waiting area for maybe an hour until I got the receptionist to figure out where the guy that was supposed to be interviewing me. For some reason thought he had scheduled our meeting for a couple days later, and he was out of town. So, I ended up rescheduling to the day he had originally thought, only to come back that day and find that he had another conflicting meeting, so I had to reschedule yet again. He was really apologetic when we finally met, but I still didn't get the internship ...:|

Here's hoping you'll have better luck than me codeyf!

Actually I have had something like this sort of happen. I was waiting on the VP to interview me, but he was in a meeting so he just told his secretary to hire someone he'd had a chance to interview. This was after the Director of HR said I'd be the top candidate.

Yeah, it's a national Agency, but their offices are all independantly owned. They have 2 offices, and he was at the other one. But he still wants to meet with me. I just have to return his call and figure out when. My Grandmother had talked me up to him big time, and I guess he's got a need for someone, and really likes what he's heard so far.

Will update the thread after I call him back today.

Sometimes that's just an excuse, even though they know, but they have other business to attend to, so they lied to you.
