Have you ever dreamed in code?

They say you truly know a language when you dream in it... does that apply to programming languages too?

When I first took COBOL in college I would have visions of the Environment and Procedure Divisions rollling thru my mind as I dozed off to sleep. 😉

not really but i once dreamed in spanish....and i only took 3 years of it in hs....and that was like 2-3 years ago when i stopped taking the class....it was weird

"It's okay. There's no such thing as two."

I dreamt in code after a migraine headache once. I'm learning Scheme (lisp) in GT's intro to cs class. Can honestly say its the weirdest dream i've ever had. It was like 2 dreams at once. The normal dream with people and everything, but an overlay of "code", it was more like boxes and pointers showing how things were related. Can't remember much more about it.

I don't see how you could possibly dream in a programming language, because a programming language's constructs hasn't any analogs in reality. I have, however, had many dreams where I was coding, working on problems, etc. I've often gone to sleep with a problem in my head only to wake up with the "answer."
