Is this some weird online relationship? Where you fight over message boards?

Are do you guys live close enough to each other wehere you actually make human contact once in a while?

;)

Nik's a good guy... what are you thinking ?!

Though I must admit we all fight this sort of temptation... me most recently at Structure where this girl works.... wooo. I'm engaged and should not have these "thoughts".

But hey, how did you think the girl at chellecam.com got her man? According to her site, she went to a restaurant with her mom... liked the waiter and asked her mom to write a note on a napkin asking the waiter to call her. Damn she's hot (Jessica Alba, anyone?)... you'd have to be dead or married not to call her. ;)

All in all, I just think it's FUN to flirt, even though it's morally wrong depending on your situation.

I generally write "Thanks, everything was great!" on top of the check when i sign it, b/c as a prior restaurant employee I know how much it matters to feel appreciated by the guests at times.

I thought that the tip amount is what determines how much the guest appreciated the service.

I don't make small talk with the wait staff. If they try to talk to me I answer with the least amount of words possible answers mostly consisting of: yes, no, and good.

I remeber when I was vacationing in Rochester last month. Myself and 5 friends went to a restaurant (Jack Ashtons or something like that) and the waitress came over (she was fairly good looking, maybe in her early to mid 20s ) and said "Hi, How is everyone" and we just stared at her. the she said "I said how is everyone again and I said "good" She took our drink orders, after I gave her mine and I went back to reading the menu. however the waitress was still talking to me. and said maybe 2 or 3 sentences. I don't know because I wasn't paying attention to her, but my friends were. I didn't figure out she was talking to me until my friend said "Rob, she's talking to you" but when I looked up I guess she didn't feel like talking anymore because my friends were saying "don't mind him".

and I din't think she was hitting on me becasue she was wearing a wedding ring.

Wow.... I'm glad I don't pull stuff like this on you.
...and you wonder why I worry.

If you trust her, you shouldn't worry about it.... It's the other guys you want to beat up.

I've never left my number for a waitress, but I have had the waitress leave a note with her number before.

Wrong. There's no ring on her finger. For all he knows, she's single and looking. There's nothing wrong with what he did other than not asking outright if she was taken - which isn't necessarily wrong in most people's eyes. If she didn't say anything about being taken, that's not his problem; that's mine. I do trust her - but it's crap like this that makes me think twice. Something's amiss.

nik

Exactly! People who go after the other person instead of dealing with the real problem really have s@#$ for brains.
