that caused a company wide memo?

Not that it has happen to me, but one of my co-worker was caught doing a Monica in the parking lot and a memo was sent out the following day to explain that is against company policy.

Please give details 😀

Yeah, I used the POP3 server when I was only supposed to use the domino server.

If you don't want people using the POP3 server, GET RID OF THE DAMN THING!
 
Based on a question I asked (and my hair color) it was determined that having Orange hair satisfied the Orange Headwear requirement that road crews have, but only if it was "Traffic Cone Orange". I think they sent out a memo. The only part I cared about was not having to wear a damn hat.

Years ago, when I was a CSR at a horrid company I worked for at the time, I was screwing around on the network seeing what I could get away with (just like a thread made today on this), and the next day my supervisor told our entire group that abusing the company computer policy could get you fired. She didn't address it specifically to me but I found it a bit too much coincidence so I never did it again.

Now it's my job and I can do whatever I want. 😀

It happen before I started working here.
 
I stopped by work on my day off one time to pick up some stuff out of my office and check my email. I lived in Vegas, and I happened to have my dog with me. I couldn't leave him in the car, because of the heat so I took him up the back stairs and into my office for a few minutes, then we left. The next day they sent a "reminder" email that pets are not allowed in the building. Ooops. 🙂
