Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan get me good.

Saving Private Ryan gets me because of the core message of the film that so many miss. Private Ryan is a metaphor for ALL of us. We are all "Private Ryan" and must earn the freedom so many died to secure for us.

Anyhow, both get me because they explain to me what my father went through in WWII that he could never talk about.

Philadelphia is another movie that moved me to tears.

Oh, and Schindler's List got me too.

Schindler's List the one that I can remember crying too. Although I'm sure there have been others.

My buddy cried once when we were watching that movie with Marissa Tomei and Christian Slater. Untamed Heart. It happened a long time ago but we still make fun of him for it.

Secondhand Lions kinda got to me. I didn't think it was going to be that good of a movie but I was really surprised. I gotta go buy that movie.

I was tearing up as I was walking out of Platoon and the large table of Vietnam Vets came up and patted me on the back.

I tear up easily, but no bawling.

Oh...well there was one movie that had me bawling. Jackass! I cried so hard in that, but that was because I couldn't breath due to laughing for 85 minutes straight! :D

Wasn't that a great movie? I was very surprised by it as well. I never would have seen it if it wasn't on a flight I took from Chicago to LA. I was so impressed I went out and bought it.

it's rare that I find a film that moves me so much that I cry, but it's happened before.

I love stories with grumpy old men in them, especially when they are great actors. Plus the flashbacks when they were swashbuckelers were great.

There's a large amount of estrogen in this thread. When has it become ok for men to cry other than when a family member or close friend dies?

But the first movie I vividly remember just bawling to was Of Mice of Men. It was the first really really sad movie I saw as a kid.

I have had a lump in my throat after several movies but I don't have tears rolling down my cheeks. Some that have had an impact would be When We Were Soldiers, BlackHawk Down, Stand By Me and Phenomenon. War movies based on true stories like the two I have mentioned will get me everytime because of the deep respect I have for the guys that actually went through that hell.

I don't think many of the people here were crying (with tears flowing down their faces). I've gotten choked up over a movie, but never cried....

Band of Brothers - "Why We Fight" and the documentary on disc 6, "We Stand Alone Together"
John Q
Schindler's List
Life is Beautiful
Gladiator
My Girl
Steel Magnolias
Titanic
ET
The Green Mile
I Am Sam
Dead Man Walking
We Were Soldiers
Philadelphia
Saving Private Ryan
Lord of the Rings (I mean what kind of heartless bastard wouldn't cry when one chooses love over immortality)

Not a movie, but I cry regularly watching E.R. Pretty much anytime a child dies or has a parent die.

The list goes on and on, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
By the way, who is collecting the man cards?
I've got one for you.

I cried during "Scooby Doo II" because during the movie all I could think about was that I spent $30 to take my family to see this crap... :(

Others that make my cry, just not as gushing are Requiem for a Dream, AI (even the very ending was kinda fvcked), Dead Poet's Society. I even had to choke tears back in movies like Armegeddon (yes the one with Bruce Willis) and RoTK. Heck, i've even cried to cartoons like Monsters Inc!!

I would have picked immortality. There's always gonna be more women to choose from.

2 movies get to me, Saving Private Ryan, and Grave of the Fireflies.

LOL an old gf actually made me watch The Joy Luck Club (i'm Chinese, she's white). Moulin Rouge... well, normally there's no excuse for that, but Nicole Kidman was in it.
