Have you ever been to Santa Barbara, CA?

I've been there several times while I lived in Southern California, and it's a very nice place to relax, and chill. If you like whale watching, they have a good tour there for that, I managed to see several hump back whales. The only bad part was that the waters were so choppy that half the people on the tour were throwing up, myself included. If you do decide to do that, make sure you take some sunscreen with you and some motion sickness pills.

i almost ran over a crackhead and his crackwhore in SB...seriously

i was pulling out of a parking garage and i couldnt see them walking along the sidewalk, and almost hit them. she just smiled at me all cracky-like and she had a blue tongue as if she just sucked some smurf dick.

Yeah I've been there a bunch of times. For a real good time, drive a couple laps around UCSB on a really warm sunny day and check out the sunbathing students. Don't screw any of em though. I heard something like more than 50% of the student body has at least one STD.

Santa Barbara is one of the biggest infestations of self-centered, self-important, egotistical bigotry I have ever seen.

I've only actually been there once on a whale watching tour with some friends. . . .like ranmaniac said, the whale watching tour is pretty famous but be prepared if you get seasick . . . Apparently half of the beach front property in the area is owned by the Ty, from its stuffed animal fortune. Not a bad place to visit but i'd be bored out of my mind if i had to stay there for over a few days.

So they don't like obnoxious little Cherubs?

Beautiful weather, no decent ethnic-food grocery stores other than Mexican, pretty architecture, SUPER expensive to the point of unreality, with a dumb party school UC that houses mostly lazy drunk students in Isla Vista and Goleta.

boring

How can anyplace with a beach be boring? =p

Some people don't like tar all over their feet and don't go on the beach?

Yep, a nice looking place. Didn't really interact with the people there as it was only a day trip.

I used to work for the company that owned Glen Annie, a popular golf course in Goleta. It was nice to be able to play there whenver I wanted for free. One of my best friends and college roommates was from Santa Ynez, and his good highschool buddy was Director of Golf at Sandpiper, and he's since moved to General Manager of Rancho San Marcos. Free golf in Santa Barbara was one of the best perks of living down there for me.

I'm up there a couple times a month. I love it. So much to do-great climbing, hiking, biking, surfing, wine tasting, food, weather, etc, etc.
