Have you ever been, or known someone who was addicted to Chapstick?

Over the weekend I saw my parents for the holidays. While reminiscing about stuff that happened 20+ years ago, my Dad brought up the fact that I used to be totally addicted to chapstick when I was in high school. He was right, of course. I used to have to carry a chapstick with me constantly, and when I wasn't able to get my hands on any, I'd often lick my lips to the point when they would actually get chapped. It was pretty bad at times, mostly when I ran out or lost my chapstick.

Of course I got over it. Quit cold turkey. After about age 17 I never touched the stuff again...

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone else had a similar problem with the stuff, or whether I'm just a total freak?

😀

It's a handy thing to have around, as my lips usually crack pretty bad in the winter.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted to it, but I LOVE the smell of the stuff... especially the vanilla stuff....mmmm......

I was waiting in best buy the other day for like an hour while the retarded sales rep was tracking down something for me and there was this one employee I saw who would constantly apply chap stick. He would be in the middle of explaining a plan to someone and sit there and furiously apply chapstick while he talked. It was the oddest most pathetic thing I've ever seen...

Chapstick is for wussies.

I just peel off a few layers of lip skin every day and eat it.

When I was on accutane I had to live with a chapstick in my pocket, otherwise my lips would get chapped to the point that opening my mouth wide would tear the skin at the corners of my mouth.

"You put the balm on? Who told you to put the balm on? I didn't tell you to put the balm on. Why'd you put the balm on?"😉

Nope, but my dad once had a bad nasal spray habit. He would be totally blocked up if he didn't have several squirts a day. Had to give the stuff up.

I've known two.

One is just a chronic OCD who doesn't eat meat, take vitamins or any kind of medicine, and has to have Chapstick every 20 minutes.
The other is a cool guy who races motorcycles and just gets dry lips.

This is about the only time you'll see me quote Bob Saget, but here it is (with slight alterations):
"Chapstick is not a drug. I used to suck d!ck for coke. Now that's an addiction. You ever suck some d!ck for chapstick?"

And, of course, we already know your answer.... it was part of the reason why you needed more chapstick.

If my sister is out of Carmex, and you have some, she will kill you to get to it. She must have it.

Rightfully so, Carmex is good sh!t.
