I live about 150 miles from my girlfriend, so I only get to see her on weekends. Anyway, it'll probably be two weeks before I can see her again. fortunately, I'm moving up there in January 🙂

Anyway, I wanted to know how many people have been in a similar situation.
Also, if you could post the distance you were seperated by, that'd be cool.
 
Let's see.. we met locally, then she moved about 1000 miles away for 13 months. About once a month or every 5 weeks I blew way too much money flying out to see her trying to make everything work. To answer your question we've been broken up for a few months. Your situation on the other hand doesn't sound nearly as bad, the weekends is child's play after what I was used to.
 
i've been in many long distance relationships; some hundreds of miles and others thousands of miles. they all have one thing in common: they cost a lot of money; but they sure are fun. 😀
 
separated by 70 miles for almost a year (majority of the relationship) and it's still going strong
January's only a few months away anyway
 
I voted that it worked out and was OK, but we aren't together anymore. We made the long distance thing work, but I had to move cross country and we had to face the fact that we won't be in the same city anytime soon. We broke up because of the reality of it, not because we were having problems as a result of the distance.

I go to school in Florida.
She lives in NJ.

Workin very well so far.. 🙂

P.S.- Get a calling card at Sams Club - 500 Minutes for $20!!!! (bout 4 cents a minute, no connection fee, and its rechargable)

long distant relationships are not reliable. One is bound to cheat, or fool around. It is bound to happen soon or later if the demand for need is not fulfilled in one sector, he/she will find bait elsewhere and never tell.

eventually the person would lie to the other saying they love them, they miss them, but he/she is probably getting some on both fronts. It is a possiblity that you must be informed about, and that is why I am not for long distant thangs. last gf i had left to Hong Kong for an entire summer, you think I was going to let that go by? you are mistaken, one of us probably did something. and don't start with that trust stuff. There are times when people simply keep real secrets.

Ha, I go ya'll beat. GF is in Indiana (finishing school at IU). I'm in LA (trying to get a job as an editor). So we're 'bout 2500 miles apart. Been like this since June and everything is par for the course. I'm seeing her in a coupla days, and she flew out here for a week in Aug. 'course we've been together for... 7yrs in Dec so we already had a solid foundation. When we both were in school (I graduated in May) we we're 'bout 2-2.5hr drive apart (I was a Ball State, for those from IN).

I'm in one right now. I'm in Chicago, she's back home in Oklahoma - about 800 miles away. We've known each other for a while, but we didn't get into a more serious relationship until this past spring.
