Have you ever been driving and feel like just blowing through the stop sign/intersection?

I feel like this at almost every intersection i come to anymore. i usually time it mentally to see if i would have gotten hit or not. I would say about 90% of the time I would have been fine.



Anyway, this disturbs my fiancee, well not really, she just thinks Im weird.


anyone else?
 
Girl I knew in high school rarely stopped at stopsigns after midnight. Just kinda slowed down a little and looked down the cross street. She never got hit...
 
i drive the exact same street home everynight... theres several pointless stop signs.. so i just leave the car in second and sort of roll through them, rather than stoping and having to put the car in first

ever since i stopeed playing GTA: Vice City, i have an urge to ram into every cop on the road, steal some cars, and ROLL THROUGH STOP SIGN AND RED LIGHTS

What kind of intersections are we talking about here? You must live in a really secluded place if 90% of the time the intersection is clear.

Its probably clear more than 90% of the time.



Imagine that your driving up to a stopsign, and the people going crossways don't have a stopsign, they only spend a fraction of a second blocking your lane. This is during the daytime so sometimes you have several cars in a row etc, but still. Anyway this is just an estimate of whether or not you would get hit.



I ran a stop sign once because it was up a hill a bit and I didnt reallize there was one there (I didnt live around that area). Long story short I kinda half jumped the road, landed on the other side and slid sideways to stop from hitting the bridge. I also had to make the kid riding with me scrub the seat he was in. Later on I found out that it was a fairly busy local highway, hehe oops
 
My biggest pet peeve are people rolling through stop signs. The only time I wouldn't give a fvck is if there's not a soul in sight.

One time at a notorious-for-non-stop STOP sign around the house, I arrived at a stop sign just ahead of some lady at the intersection going from my left to right - she had a stop sign too. She clearly looked like she was trying to beat me to the sign so she can go through without stopping (judging by her speed). She failed to beat me there... and knowing this, I purposely made my left turn slower so she'd have to do wait like she was supposed to. As I was turning, I gave her a nasty look to let her know I was fvcking with her. Man was she pissed... I loved it. I would've flipped her the bird too if my dad wasn't in the car with me. STOP at the STOP sign like you're supposed to muthabitc#.
 
Yeah people who roll through annoy me too.

And im not saying you should run a stop sign.


Im just saying that Im alwayd tempted to just floor it =)
 
Heh I'd probably run through a stop sign in the distant future... on a nother note, I almost yelled at a lady walking across the street today, because she was walking against a red light, and the card almost hit her.... but she still insisted on walking slowly to the other side :|
 
it's funny that you post this because friday afternoon I was on my way home and I (without even thinking) I saw the next light turn green and went. I feel like such a moron for doing it and I'm glad there wasnt any crossing traffic at the time. otherwise you might see me posting pictures of my totaled car today 😱

There's a reason I hate people who don't stop. Throughout my 9 years of driving, I've stopped at every stop sign I can remember. There was this one time I was with a friend and she told me to take a back route back to her house. Being unfamiliar with the street, I ran right through a stop sign I never saw. Reaching the end of the block, I noticed in my rear-view mirror a car pulling out of the side road I just passed. Turned out it was a cop who had been staked there because residents in the area complained about people who don't stop at that sign. Now I know why... cause nobody fvcking sees it. I still never saw it. The cop empathized with me, but said he was ordered to give out tickets because of the complaints.

WTF... the one time I run a sign, I get a ticket. Meanwhile I see bigger roads by my house where people roll right through in broad daylight like they couldn't give 2 sh!ts... do cops stop them? Not once have I seen them. Pisses me off to no end.
 
If im driving my car, I'll usually just slow to second and roll through if possible. Going down to first sucks 😛 If im driving an automatic I'll stop.
 
There's this one street kinda close to where to live where for at least a mile its one way with about 5, 3 way stop signs where i dont even slow down. i know it sounds bad but coming to the 3 way intersection i can see a good 1/2 block down.

Yes, its an impulse and everyones had it at one point or another. Its just that if I ever get an impulse like this, I think what would I do if I "blew" a light or stop sign and hit someone with a kid in their car, killing them? And for what? a stupid impulse?

I've really had the urge lately to go steal a stop sign...that would be awesome to hang in my room. Maybe next weekend...
