Have you ever been carded for a R-rated movie?

me and a bunch of my friends decided to celebrate the end of finals by going to see Borat. However, at the movie theater, the guy refused to sell us tickets if we didn't have ID's with our DOB on them, and refused to take out college ID's as proof. Half of us didn't , so we had to leave, and were pretty sad....

So my question: have you ever been carded at a movie theater?

Yes, went to a movie with some co-workers when I was 16. Almost didn't let me in and my co-workers had a good laugh at my expense. They were all 18-21 or so.

Yeah. I get carded every so often. I got carded when I went to get one ticket for myself, but the next week, I went back to get 5 tickets to an R rated movie(so my under 18 friends could get in) and the guy didnt even question.

Nope, although my friend and I made up some story to get into see Schindler's List even though I was only 15. Also got to see Natural Born Killers when I was 15-16 and didn't get carded.

heh. yeah right. now here. they have never asked me once! all my friends have gone and seen Borat and they are all still in HS.

I didn't walk around with my wallet too often in college, normally just my college ID & dorm room keys. /shrug

As for the original question, yes, once, because the backwardass theater didn't have the touchscreen ticket machines. Never going there again... there are 3 in my immediate area, that one just had a convenient time and I'd been there a couple times as a child.

i went to see jackass 2 after school with my friend one time (high school), and he didnt have his ID. he turned 18 like 2 weeks after. so we had to come back later that day. then we went to see borat and he left his ID at home, so i had to drive back to his house to get it.....stupid fvcking idiot kid.

my computer is annoying me. it underlines every word that i spell wrong in red (just like in MS Word). its cool sometimes, but i usually spell everything right, so it underlines "fvcking" and "didnt" since there's no apostrophe. im rambling.

Why would you not have your driver's license on you? Keep your driver's license in your wallet. Only take it out of your wallet when you're trying to buy beer (underage).

Why does the op find it so odd that he is being asked to prove his age. The ticket seller is just doing their job. Why is the theater backwardass for doing what they are supposed to do?

I remember my Dad dropping me and my brother off at the movies so we could see the newest Nightmare on Elm Street movie or something like that when I was around 10.
