LOL! My God, what are you some throw back to the 60s.
And would I be in favor our democratizing all of Africa/Mid East/Asia/etc. -- If the rest of the "free" world was on board, sure thing.
From all I know the 60s wasn't half bad. Thanks!
Forcibly installing your country's belief system, form of government, culture and economic system upon others is Imperialism. Many global powers have gone that route in the past, none have survived. In fact all have gone extinct or have been reduced to a small shadow of their former selves.
Also, the rest of the free world would never permit that to happen unless somehow a New World Order is established, sortof a U.N. with an army and some form of global judicial system. Fear the day.
I did hear the calls to go to Syria and Iran and N.K. after Baghdad was taken....mostly from emboldened republicans who want to righteously compell the rest of the world to follow in their footsteps. Thankfully, they've (been) silenced.
People who care little for due process, proper method, justification and truth in matters of foreign policy will eventually run this country into the gutter. Bush doesn't get high marks here IMO.
Bush had many reasons for invading Iraq. He declined to share many of them with the rest of us. Because there is a just and moral flavor to the action, war could be tolerated and I'm happy for the Iraqi people. But like BabyDoc said there's no way Bush would have acted on moral grounds alone. So, under his tenure, you need not worry about liberating the rest of the world. It won't be happening.
