I'm not sure I ever remember seeing it as a kid. My warm kindergarten milk pizza was Mama Celeste.

If I bother to make pizza at home, I'm also going to make the dough. I owned pizza restaurant so it's not hard for me.

It's not that its all that difficult, its just time-consuming and turns making pizza into more of a project then I'm up for usually. With ready to use fresh dough its fast and relatively low-effort on the level of grilling hot dogs or burgers.

Also I have several terrific New Haven style pizza places around the corner from me and they all will sell you ready to bake dough pretty cheap. (plus its very good)

I like the Celeste pizza for one. Or, I did anyway. To maintain a price point they reduced toppings, and turned it into a 'pizza for 0.5' They're still better than Screamin' Sicilian.

It's better than many frozen pizza but that's not saying much. Even Little Caesers is vastly superior.

And typically Little Caesar's will cost about the same (or less) as a Screamin' Sicilian, too.

Pizza is good. My most recent was a deal order from Papa Johns.

Everyone shits on Little Caesar, but they're one of my favorite pizzas when price is factored in. Better than any frozen pizza, and you'd have to pay at least twice as much to get something better from a shop.

Sure enough. Even when I get fancy and do the stuffed crust with pepperoni and smoked ham, it's still only $14 (after the most recent price increase), gotta spend $24 to get pizza from a local place.

For being so cheap, its actually not terrible, I agree.
But if you can find something decent, like from a family owned business in your neighborhood, you should try to support them.
Unless of course its late and you're hungry and then you better have a frozen pizza in your house somewhere.

Screaming Sicily thing is decent, good for sure, but not good enough to justify that price. Just go with the best, and one of the most economical, frozen pizzas ever... Jacks.
