I've called 911 a few times.
Once, I was on my way home on a snowy evening at about 11:30 p.m. and I was headed down a big hill on the way to my house. I saw a car lodged in a ditch on the side of the road, and since I didn't feel safe stopping (it was slippery and I was late for curfew, and I just don't feel right stopping to see if a random car needs help) I called 911.
And just last night I was walking downtown with my sister and there were some panhandlers blowing kazoos in people's faces and asking them for change. When I said, "Nope sorry, no money," they said, "Come on! Lemme see your wallet!" so I went to the payphone around the corner and dialed 911. I told them first off that it wasn't an emergency and then explained the situation to them. They said they'd send an officer out.
I've called a few other times but I can't remember.
