What should I write about? it can be as general as can be or as specific. All it has to do is be about Cisco routers and switches. I am stumped.

Just write CISCO on the paper.

If you fail that's why they are a teacher.

write about what they do, why they're important, and most of all, why you love them and snuggle with them at night.

HA, HA, HA....... RIGHT!!!! :D

To be a bit helpful, though, I might suggest you write about the differences between switches and routers. The average person doesn't have a clue.

Ah, considering this is for a networking workshop, the differences should be good to write about. Any more?

i suggest doing a history of old school 10mb and token ring, to the fibre-capabilities of what we have today, and the application of said technologies in the workplace.

Also how each one works in its own different way. Maybe also how they play a big role in the OSI model, then maybe go off on some tangent about how the OSI model works, how each layer plays a different yet equally important role, that would be some nice filler.
