I am working on setting up a wireless network for my friend. He has SBC DSL with their new 2wire modem with built in wireless/4-port router. His computers are using this Gigabyte wireless pci adapter. Everytime we start up the computer, in order for it to connect to the gateway we have to enable the "zero config utility" by right clicking on the adapter icon in the icon try and selecting "enable zero config utility". Without doing this, the computer can not connect to the gateway, it can physically see it but it will not connect to it. Is there any way to keep the zero configu utility as the default setting so taht when the computer is started up it can automatically connect to the network without us having to manually set it?
