Ok this is what happens to me sometimes. I'm browsing around the web and then suddenly the display becomes all enlarged and off-center (web-pages and desktop hang off the screen) and I can't do anything with the mouse (click things). The only thing I can do is hit my windows key and log off and back on again into windows then it goes back to normal. Very annoying as you can imagine. What could be causing this you think? Thank you.

I second the vote for a driver update. Might as well try a spyware search (Adaware/Spybot) May be a long shot but its always a good thing to do. Spyware these days is messing with a lot of things. 2 cents.

If the Adaware/Spybot doesn't fix it go to try a program called HijackThis. This program will analzye your system but not remove things for you. However if you post the results on the forums at Computer Cops people (really smart people) there can advise you what to remove manually. Sounds complicated but I have used it a few times and the process goes smoothly. Be sure to read the FAQ before posting. I haven't seen a problem these guys can't fix. Good Luck

I had a problem where every so often, the poota would boot into a split screen - bit of a pain in the butt.
Only happened every third or fourth boot,
Turned out - after updating drivers etc,
had to get a new cheapie vga card - aok
