My wife is taking our two daughters to my sisters house for the weekend so I wanted to catch up on some good movies that is she is apt not to want to watch. I usually pick the movies and end up going with movies I think we'll both like. This usually means it's light in the action and heavy in the drama\comedy. I love a great movie regardless of genre though so I can enjoy just about anything(Children of Men, About a Boy, Finding Neverland, Eternal Sunshine, etc).

I know I am going to get:

Departed

I am thinking about:

V for Vendetta
Memento
Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2
Master and Commander: Far Side of the World

Thoughts about those or others I may have missed?

The Dreamers (starring Bond girl Eva Green minus clothes).

V for Vendetta <-Didn't see it yet
Memento <-Same with this one
Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 <-Great movies, why haven't you seen them yet?
Master and Commander: Far Side of the World <-Ok movie

Thoughts about those or others I may have missed?

Crank is a good hour and a half action film.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't necessarily want an action movie just for the sake of action. I want one that has a good story and is highly rated by the masses.

Watch all six Star Wars movies in order. :p

Not a huge fan but did enjoy the older ones. I could watch all 3 of the LoTR's but I would prefer to see something I haven't already seen

Loved it but I have seen it a dozen times already. That's why I want to see the Kill Bills.

Memento is amazing, definitely get that

and if you like that, Mulholland Drive is similar and also very good.

See the Kill Bill movies back to back. If you loved Pulp Fiction, you can't go wrong with it. I feel bad saying this, but I think the Kill Bill movies may be better than Pulp Fiction.
