Have Sony mini disk recorder MZ-R70 what optical adapter for pc?

huh? i'm assuming you want to know how you can record digitally through an optical cable to your PC, well, you'll need a sound card with digital in, and a two way stereo plug type optical cable... you can pick them up at lots of places, best buy's sell them for ~$15 i believe... hope this helps
 
No I want to record from my pc to the mini disk i need a optical wire to hook to the mini disk and a (usb or digital)connection on my pc I have sound blaster live value card with digital out.

Offers an addon card with optical out made specifically for the Live card... my friend got one, installtion was a snap and works perfectly. You can always get the Live!Drive IR, it too has an optical out.
 
no chance they'd make a spdif to optical converter? i too would like to get an MD which happens to not have USB input, just optical and stereo mini jack. and i don't feel like paying 100bucks for a live drive to jsut get optical. and i don't have a credit card to buy stuff online.
 
They don't make a converter. THe only option I've found is the optical daughter card. I'm out of open slots so I just use analog recording for now, sounds almost as good. I'll probably dump my tv card one of these days and pick up the optical card though. Other than hoontech, i think that creative sells their own card off their site.
 
Just came from best buys they now got mini disk player and it comes with a ubb optical adapter but its only sold with player I checked a local store (the WIZ) they said they had the piece but its sold ot and it was about $50.00 I would have bought it but they didnt have one any body else know of this piece and where to get it
