Are the amateurs the only ones who think intel CPU's are better?

I?m not including the excellent centrino that is actually a good product unlike everything else intel makes.

Do you concur?

Stop trying to cause problems.

In addition you seem to be a noob, seeing as you dont know that "Centrino" isn't a processor; rather it is a name of a technology standard consisting of a P-M processor, an 802.11b/g NIC, and some other stuff.

Dont post this crap, all it does is junk up the forums, you have been here long enough that you should know that.

I was an Intel user, then switched to AMD, then back to Intel, then back to AMD....

I was an ATI user, then switched to NVidia, then back to ATI, going to NVidia....

I loved Intel motherboards, then went to Epox, then to Asus, then to Abit, now on a DFI

It's all about "bang for buck" for me. One has to have a large orfice in their head to be loyal to any brand. Do your homework and buy the approptiate tools for your job.....period...

Centrino isn't a product either. It is a group of features. By saying it is a product you are saying it is a single component of a computer system which is false.

Well, I didn't sway quite that much, and I do have preferences, but I think Duvie sums up the "best bang/buck" scenario. Thats the way I sway.

The name of that system is Xbox. The name of that Laptop is not Centrino. Centrino is a technology standard within that Laptop. Just like Nforce is a technology (more so chipset) within the original X-Box.

Mods: Can we get a lock on this thread. It is painfully obvious how much trouble this is going to cause. It is merely another AMD vs. Intel thread. :(

How come the link to Intel lists Centrino under "products" ?

http://www.intel.com/products/centrino/

If everyone wants to be absolutely correct about it, you can call Centrino a PLATFORM since that seems to be the 'in' thing nowadays.

Intel is for people who use PC for general use. Indeed for gamers AMD is a first choice no doubt about it. If you are not a gamer and looking for a cheaper dual core solution intel is the choice. AMD should introduce cheaper solutiion like x2 3400 to compete with Pentium D.
