just type 1 and be done with it. It will log you off from other computers.

I get this message everyday and hate it b/c AIM is the only IM protocol that works this way. With others, when you log in from a different computer, it logs you off from other computers. AIM doesnt do that and keeps you logged in on all computers until you type "1".

AIM used to boot you off, I think.

I always get this when my DSL resets because of whatever (lightening ect) that makes it blip. The new IP it gets causes an identity crises when AIM automatically logs back in.

Yep. The prompt is normal.

But why on earth are so many people still using AIM. :p

Indeed. Pretty much any time AIM isn't properly shut down it'll do this.

Change your email/pw if you're worried and set it to automatically log you out of other locations if you can. If you're THAT worried, you can try contacting AOL and see if they can give you a log of what IP addresses have been accessing your account or something, but it might end up screwing you over or just being a total waste of your time.

I dont know if it still boots you off or not but I get this message whenever I log in from work (b/c I am always logged in on my laptop at home).

Whenever, dont type 1, I am logged in at work and when I reach home, I am still logged in at home. Whenever I do type 1, I get logged off at home

F10, correct?

(I fail, I'm trying to remember what the "FREE BEER!" button was back in the good ol' CS 1.6 days)
