Have any of you tried these ink refill places?

There is one in my town and I can get a Lexmark 32 black for 10 bucks and a Lexmark 33 color for 15. That is way cheaper than new but I wonder how good they will work and how long it will last.

you can get the same junk off of ebay at even less, just stick with US sellers... I have used aftermarket cartridges, worked well for me most of the time. Although this one time it ruined my Epson printer... no worries, I had bought if for ~40 lasted about a year. This time I got a Canon for ~30, just a tad more than the cost of cartridges!

you'll clog your inktubes/heads eventually. I used to fix these all the time back before printers were > cost of ink cartridges.

Professional photo printers have this problem a lot - Typically an office drone buys the cheap stuff and then it starts to smear/lose dots after a couple weeks.

A local store has a vending machine with refills. I've had good luck with them and they save me a few bucks. I don't print anything important, so the quality doesn't matter much.

I tried one of those Dell Nextlife HP 56 black ink cartridges off of ebay and it worked fine at first, then I didn't have to print anything for three weeks or so and it had completely dried up by then.

I picked them up and the guy at WG said that the black was fine but the color failed the test so no charge. He said when they fail the test most of the time they work just fine. I installed and it seems to be good so far, so 12 bucks for both to be refilled.

Just last week I took my color cartridge to Costco. I had a coupon so it was around 8 bucks total. First time using them, so we will see how it goes.

the microcenter near me does this, was able to refill the black cartridge but the color would on print yellow, ended up getting a new color with the recycling coupon I got for the old one. Black is printing fine.
