Wow, so friggin slow. I've been checking the mail for like a week +.

The kids who paid up a dozen bucks or so had theirs before July.

Don't they come out today? My gf paid early and got a 5 on AP Bio and 3 on AP Calc. :Q

Yea, AP calc BC was so hard last year! I was fudging like every essay. I recall them giving me a graph and asking me to draw its derivative graph, and I was like totally blanked out! :Q

Hope my scores look nice this year :)

The College Board is the biggest fscking ripoff in the history of testing. I will NEVER EVER pay to get any tests early. I hate that damn agency.

half of my friends called up early to get them, I want mine, but on the other hand, I took 3 ap's in a row (morning afternoon then next morning) and for the last one in that series I pulled an all nighter to learn an entire semester's worth of material, so meh :\

They came in the mail, no way I would pay any more money to them. Even though it does seem like a ripoff, I guess for 80 bucks a test, its not that bad since I am getting credit for 10 classes, 6 semesters worth I actually need for my major.

Alright if you got yours in the mail then the rest of ours should be here in the next couple of days, depending on where we all live. I only took one test; but really hope I got a 5.

Can someone enlighten me on what these even are? Is this some standardised test like the SAT or the ACT that I have not heard of?

It is similar. You take an AP (advanced placement) course while in high school. They are given a strict syllabus for the class to follow which prepares you to take the test which is supposedly the equivalent of a college course final exam. The theory behind it is that if you score a 3 or better on a 5 scale that you have passed the equivalent college course. Many universities will accept the scores and give credit for the equivalent courses. Some universities give you advanced standing such as allowing you to take the 3rd semester of calculus in your first semester of college because you got a high score on the AP calculus BC exam. Some schools will not accept certain tests or any at all.

A similar program is the IB (International Baccalaureate) program.

i got mine in the mail last tuesday. got a 3 in physicis b. could have taken computer science and english, but couldnt use the credit, so didnt pay for it
