Haha, you take the "free" personality test, but you have to their churches to get the results. That alone is freaking shady, not to mention what I saw on South Park.

I read parts of Dianetics. It's really messed up. Scientology is a cult and I'd stay away from it if I were you. It should be pretty clear that it's not a healthy religion based upon the behavior of its members.

That's the type of ignorance that keeps people from truely understanding the Church and what it can do for society. Yes there is a story about an alien named Xenu but if you haven't studied scientology it won't make sense.

When I was a younger member I broke one of the churches rules and read advanced books I wasn't allowed to read. The stories terrified me, fact as they say can be stranger than fiction. Stories about our minds, our past, and even our future. I couldn't stop reading them, deeper and deeper I fell into the darkness of their passages. Confused and stricken with guilt I confessed to my local level 3 Nexus. He explained to me that my th'eatoin (correct spelling) levels were not high enough to understand the works.

At this point I rededicated myself to the church, raising my th'eatoin levels .03 parcects per galactic week. I had to give up my job and family but it was worth it. Six years later I am beginning to understand the beauty of Scientologies truths. This is worth more to me than any worldly possession and I recommend you join us.

In Scientology doctrine, Xenu (also Xemu) is an alien ruler of the "Galactic Confederacy" who, 75 million years ago, brought billions of people to Earth, stacked them around volcanoes and blew them up with hydrogen bombs. Their souls then clustered together and stuck to the bodies of the living, and continue to cause problems today.

If that alone does not put a "WTF" look on your face and or have you falling on the floor laughing then nothing will. I heard it was a bet between 2 sci-fi writers over who could "concoct" a religion. Not sure ab that tho...

That was the best sacrasm post I have ever read! AWESOME!

Scientology is very scary though when you look into it. They're wack-jobs. The fact that you can buy your way up up the levels is also a clear sign that they're just out for money.

Yeah, I was figuring, but scientologists are so nuts that I wasn't 100%. For all I know they do believe in galactic weeks, etc..

For the first time ever on ATOT, I want to say this: I find your ideas intriguing and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Well done! :D

"I?d like to start a religion. That?s where the money is."

- L. Ron Hubbard to Lloyd Eshbach, in 1949; quoted by Eshbach in OVER MY SHOULDER: REFLECTIONS ON A SCIENCE FICTION ERA, Donald M. Grant Publisher. 1983

"Somebody some day will say ?this is illegal.? By then be sure the orgs [Scientology organizations] say what is legal or not."

- L. Ron Hubbard, Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter, 4 January 1966, "LRH Relationship to Orgs"

I think that says it all right there folks. These people are crazy cultists. Don't believe me?? Then look for yourself. In a google search for scientology 5 of the 10 links on the very first page lead to sites describing how dangerous, fanatical, crazy, and deceiving they are.
