That happened once. The sister switched schools before I could know her, and two years later I made friends with the brother. :) Ah well

No, but all of my friends have been in love with my brother James and all of his friends have been in love with me. Even now, we're in our 30s and our friends act like total morons around us.

Dude, don't be a bag-of-douch.
That kid is gonna figure it out sooner or later and so will she.
Think she'll get with you then?
Buck the F up and just ask her out like a man.

Don't go there.

Dude there is a rule about this.

After you've known a guy for a certain length of time (I forget what exactly but it's not very long) his sister is officially off limits unless you actually plan to marry her.

You don't befriend a guy just to bang his sister, and you don't just bang your friend's sister either.

Just not cool.

No.

A friend of mine has a pretty hot sister though. However, I've known my friend so long that every time I look at his sister I see a little of him. :disgust:

Guess I'd have to put a pillow over her face if we did anything.

I dated a friends sister. She looked just enough like him that when the time came I couldn't do the deed. Ugh...I just got a shiver thinking about it

And how do you differentiate one from the other? Is there some sort of grand mutual decision that must be reached to cross these boundaries? Geesh you'd think this was rocket science.

Well, there are more phases, but I'll try to simplistically put it into an analogy for you:

"going out" is akin to being in the batter's box. here's your chance to see if you can get a hit and reach first base safely. It may take a few at-bats to reach base....but if you think she is unhittable, take your cuts elsewhere.

"seeing" a girl is you've made it to base safely, and are trying to round the bases. This is where most relationships are made or broken. If you can't follow up your initial hit with some production, you're gonna be back on the bench.

"dating" a girl is when you've rounded the bases and you're about to score. You need to come through in the clutch and punch that run in and score. This can be very difficult if the girl is pitching a "No-No". Many men have been stranded at third base. You're close enough to steal home and score, but sometimes it wasn't meant to be :)

"girlfriend" you've either knocked it out of the yard or you did it the hard way and manufactured a score, but either way you're home. Now you just keep trying to score until the game is over (you either get married or you break up :) ).

The rule time is 24 hours. After 24 hours of befriending a guy, his sister is off limits unless you plan to marry her and father her children

What happens when the ball hits the batter? Does he get to walk the base?
