Have any experience with SIP Phones and SIP software?

At my job, we just installed a new phone system. It uses our existing Cisco 7960 ip phones and supports SIP. I need to find a good, quality SIP application so that I can get rid of the Cisco and use my headset on my pc and do everything there. Once I get this up and tested, there's a good shot they will let me work from home because being on the phones is part of the job and the only reason I need to be here. I found a page that lists a bunch of free SIP clients, but I'm not sure what to start fiddling with yet. Was hoping someone had experience.....

X-Lite is one of the only decent soft phones out there. Even the OEM stuff I have seen is just a rebranded X-Lite.
