I really want to buy an slk-800 from them. I've heard that if you prepay with a money order they'll ship to Canada. Have any of you had experience with this? Thanks,

I do not know about the shipping to canada part, but I had the parts shipped to my grandmothers in the 'states and it was there very fast. Newegg is a very good company, drop them a line about the shipping to canada part

Can I ask why you want to buy the SLK-800 from Newegg in particular.

After international shipping costs & possible customs, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy it locally.

I've bought hardware from ExcaliberPC and they shipped it the next day after order confirmation. Only thing you have to worry about is PST/GST taxes and brokerage fees from the courier company. Oh, and also depending on what you order, some items may not be exported even to Cananda, such as OEM processors. So much for FTA.

You're probably right, I just found it at a store here for $70CDN. At newegg it's $37US, plus shipping, plus tax, plus customs. I've just always wanted to buy stuff from newegg but couldn't because of the international shipping thing. I was hoping to find someone on here that has done it successfully.

No. They won't ship to Canada no matter what. They'll ship to a US address, but not Canada.

I'm in Canada and what i had to do was order stuff by credit card from here and have it shipped to my sister in the US. Then when i visited her i picked it up. You save alot by buying in the US so if you have relatives there and you're about to visit them, buy stuff and pick it up while you're there.

I don't have any relatives in the US unfortuneately. I have a good friend who's from Texas tho. I'm disappointed to hear that they won't ship to Canada. They would probably get alot more business if they did.
