I have been hearing alot about water cooling systems, and though it sounds great, my idea is , what about a refrigerating system? Like the one most everyone has on the car. Not cold enough to freeze the CPU but enough to keep it to keep it at 40 or 50 F. This is an idea that has floating around in my head, and thought I would ask for responses. Is this viable?

The most recent overclocks of the Pentium 4 have been done with Liquid Nitrogen so I dont think you really have to worry about freezing the CPU. I know that there are also cases that exist that actually have built in refrigeration units so it has been done before.

It's called VapoChill. You can't get a VapoChill for socket A anymore, but it is available for socket 478.

Thanks for the responses.

Guess I can't get a patent on that, and become rich. Oh well, back to the grind.

Vapochill = waste of money.. It doesn't work right with all motherboards.. easy to crack CPU core.. it's rediculous how much money you are going to spend on it.. considering how phat of a water-cooled PC you could build compared to the $$ you will spend on one vapochill.

Water cooled PC's like mine run under 0c degree's all the time..

Lowest I've seen mine.. -30f degree's.

1.4ghz Athlon OC'd to 1.6ghz.
