This is a serious post. I've been in the shipping industry for around 10 years and have contacts all over the country and the world. I can help resolve your importing and exporting issues (Mostly exporting). No, I don't expect payment or want payment, just thanks. If you have questions regarding a shipment that you're trying to either export or import let me know. Be prepared to give me details of what it is so I can help you.

It's the season of giving right?

Depends on their weight. Try to drain their blood first, that'll reduce the shipping charges considerably. I'll need their customs value too. How much were you paid to off them?

Is there any difference whatsoever between sending a package standard whatever method via USPS, and Priority Mail? I heard there's no difference at all.

I'm sure you're question was sarcastic but I'll answer it seriously. We never use USPS to ship packages. They're just a joke and the shipping times can never be guaranteed. For all of our small packages, we use Fedex for international and most domestic. For areas within WA, we use UPS. For international large packages (Heavyweight and oversized) we'll use freight forwarders.

As for receiving packages personally, I've noticed that for actual packages and not letters, Priority seems to be the way to go.

Nah, I wasn't being sarcastic. Thanks.

I understand that a lot of people under declare the value for international shipping. How often is a package opened up and determined by Customs? Does customs really record data on your international shipments?

In other words, what is the safest way to smuggle tons of cocaine through customs.

Would it be possible to ship a live human? Assuming the human wanted to be shipped and didn't scream or otherwise make it known that there's a person in the crate.

I want to buy something on ebay that will be shipping on a palette and requires a loading dock. I don't have one. Where can I go "borrow" a dock to receive my item?

Eh? Express Mail is a guaranteed next day service (if you're shipping to a major market), and they offer the same exact money-back promise that the other shipping carriers do. Priority mail isn't guaranteed, but I don't see why that's a problem. Why exactly is the United States Postal Service a joke?

Why do you use UPS for only WA?

Company in China just sent me a package registered mail through USPS. It is currently in the post office waiting to be picked up. This post office is only open M-F 10-330. I work M-F 9-5. It is a good 50 minutes away from me.

Can somebody else pick up my package? (remember, registered mail) If not, what are my options considering I can't leave work during the week

because their delivery confirmation service is absolutely worthless compared to real time tracking

Express mail is pretty close to real time tracking.
