Have a problem with the taskbar

Okay so after uninstalling norton (which was a freakin pain because of that goback crap that took 5 hours to do in the boot screen, anyways), I now cannot see any of my opened windows on my task bar. To illustrate the problem I have included a screenshot:

Wtf?

Again, that is my empty task bar, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE like 10 windows open. Whats wrong? Can anyone help me?

I'm googling the problem right now but I dont know how to really word it correctly so its pretty tough. I hope someone has seen this before and can help...its pretty damn annoying. (The computer runs fine, everythings great, just pretty annoying to navigate through alt tab and not know what windows i have up...)
