Have a Medical

What usually consists of a medical for jobs, and how long does it normally take?

Also, just a random question, if a friend smokes weed, and I'm in the same room passively breathin this in, will that be picked up to the doctor that I smoke this stuff (considering I don't smoke it).

As far as the weed issue goes, your normally have to inhale it directly to come up possitive. They skew the test to account for that possibility.

Well it's a friend I've known most of my life, sorry if I'm not a do-gooder like yourself that would drop friends at the drop of a hat... it isn't like I'm doing this stuff. Thanks for your concern though.

i'm assuming you mean a drug test?

i had to pee in bottle and a saliva test. i forget how long it took to get the results.
i also had to have a physical done. not sure why (probably because its in a factory, even though I work IT?)

Nah they didn't mention drug test, only indicated it's a "medical", not sure what that covers but I was just assuming they may cover it.

For one job I had to have a complete physical (including "THE TEST") + drug test.

For others it was just a drug test.

If you're at all worried.... then stay away from the 2nd hand weed smoke for as long as possible before the test. Better safe than unemployed.

You don't to stop hanging out with your friend...just have him smoke elsewhere until after the test.

Note: I'm not condoning the smoking of any illegal substance. 🙂

My medical didn't have a drug test. They simply checked my height, weight, temperature, BP, a quick eye check, then on to immunizations.

As to the drug test, yeah gotta back up the first response to that and say, either get your friend to quit being a dumba$$ or get gone. That can screw you BAD. Even if you "aren't doing it"

I was thinking the Colon/prostrate test (hand up the back side...)

but medicals can be simple from BP and heart rate to more (i.e. semi drivers get Blood Pressure and heart Rate and urine drug test (shows even contact highes for last 30 days). Army is COMPLETE physical with drug test showing weed for 90 days and acid and cocain/heroin and other hards for 1 Year. If It's real sesitive they can do a spinal tap and see what you have had all your life.)

the test depends on the employer.
