A theme based page I made for a company initially, but early on in its development turned out to be a personal goodie.
Of course there isn't much to it yet...

But graphically, it is 100% done.

Any constructive crit?

edit: for clarification, this isn't supposed to be a typical/conventional/traditional web design/art. It is just a design that is graphically dominant yet still "functional". It isn't necessarily intended for a professional audience.. but anyway...

I like the design, but the italicized text has got to go! The fact that it's a pop-up isn't that great, etiher. OTher than that, good job :)

I got a popup. Not cool. Didnt let it finish loading.

Your loss!~! Sometimes designs need to be set up like that. Sometimes you need to present it in a controlled environment to make the graphical aspects work... it wasn't meant to be "full screen".

I agree with noc. I let it finish popping up, but it didn't really look that different than other designs I've seen you do...nice, but not really innovative.

The pop up is super annoying, it should stay in the browser. Other than that, nice.

Uhhhh, you could always put the entire thing to a FRAME and center that in a browser.

Get rid of the italics, those suck butt.

I certainly posted this in the wrong community.. yikes!
And there is no italics on the screen!

It is personal preference people. The design was engineered this way, and it certainly wouldn't work in a centered frame. Regardless of a pop-up or no pop-up the design is the same, and its functionality should not deter from its aesthetic value.

very gloomy and moody, a definite change from most company web sites :) That I do like, also the color scheme, while not being unique, is a rarity on the web, so by being dull, it kinda stands out :) clean look too

The popup has to go :) Why not just load the site in the browser?

But on something besides the popup...why the black text on the dark grey background? It's a bit difficult to read.

I'm wondering how people who don't have a nify "back" button on thier mouse are suppsoed to return to the previous page? Sure, there's a keyboard shortcut, but a lot of people don't know it.

Nice design.
Dark, busy, yet minimal at the same time.
The colors work well togeather, and I like the urban-industrial feel it gives off.

The nav menu on the left could be a bit more active, when more content in available.

Very good point.. i'll have to do something about that.

Thank you, great observations.. helps me put things into perspective... same goes for genocide!
Except, it isn't really a company... I'm.. me..:D

Yes, but.. ok ok ok. Where did the concept that pop-ups are evil come from? Sure they are annoying, but when it is something of this nature, it is in a totally different context.

See, I work with what I can. My coding ability is so horrible, that the design dictates how this thing is going to be presented in a browser.. sometimes it is "meant" to be a fullscreen/view dealie, sometimes it has to be in a restrictive popup window. Centering it would just HALT the flow of the design and having that little square in the middle of a page just wouldn't mesh.. (or so I thought...)

Keep trying.

No back button, the popup sucks, the font is too small and hard to read black on gray, the gray background loads in chunks???

Why are you loading the site in a new window? What is the point of the original window just saying innovation and sitting there like a lump of turd?

Don't like it. No sir, don't like it at all.

Looks good, nice graphics and the colors are easy on the eyes.

...but as others has said, the pop-up is... not good. + the popup window is too small, I get both vertical & horizontal scrollbars (mozilla 1.0).
