I had a year long introductory offer from Comcast. About a month before it ran out I called them to see what package I should transfer into when it ran out. Comcast changes packages so often it is almost always worthwhile.

So, Comcast told me they would change my package when my introductory offer ran out.
Guess what? LIES.
There is no way for them to do that. They can only change your account immediately.
And that's how you lose your introductory offer for the difference in time you call to change your plan and when the introductory plan actually runs out.

My intro rate with Comcast ended recently. I had already been billed at the new higher rate. I called their service termination department and told them I wasn't happy with the higher rate and would switch to Directtv if they couldn't do anything. They put me on a new promo and gave me credits to cover the higher bill for the one month.
