Well, I got this GC from Bestbuy and I went to the B&M Store tonight to try to find something that wI would need. I can't really think of anything...

I already have:
Powerbook
2nd Gen Ipod Mini
D70 + too many lens
20" LCD
Logitech THX speakers
PSP
Nintendo DS
...to name a few things

I hard play anything outside those two consoles and I'm hardly at home to enjoy anything "Home based" . IS there anything someone can suggest for me?

Thanks!

Update (12/30/05): Went to Bestbuy in San Francisco to return yet another thing I did not want (Gameboy Micro) and got store credit for it. Turns out they had a sign that said "Xbox 360 consoles, now in stock". I jumped and asked the greeter how much (I was ready for the great "bestbuy bundle" deal, but he said $399, the premium bundle! Rejoiced, I said I'll take one and proceeded to wait in the XBOX360 Line. Before I got to the counter, I mentioned that I was trying to return something as well, and the rep said I can return it in this line. Great!

THe guy in front of me thought that the Xbox came with some gun attachment. He was speaking russian and talking to someone loudly over the phone, but he decided not to get one. (There were "plenty" according to the rep). Got store credit for the GB Micro and combined it with the GC I got this Christmas. Paid the difference of $140 and change and I was walking out with it.

The trip back to work however was a drag. Rain, wind, crowded buses. MUNI is horrible when it comes to being "clean"..

So now I got the box and I'm writing this update at work. I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm hesitant on keeping it or selling it on fleabay. There aren't that many games out to get excited about and I'm having trouble finding something to justify this other than my 26" HDTV thats sitting there because I cannot get good OTA reception from SF towers.

I've the same problem. $150 in BB giftcards for Christmas but hate the store and have no use for it.

I'd load up on music and DVD movies personally. Maybe the new G5 mouse if you're a gamer, which I don't think you are, considering you sport a Powerbook. What about a new Photo printer? Any future gifts for birthdays or something? (Ahh, nothing like the art of re-giving :p)

Some good suggestions jamesbond007. Maybe a photo quality printer. No future gifts or birthday comes up soon though..

I hate bestbuy.. they are the worse

Now the next question...Photo printer with or without warranty! Hah, j/k. I hate Best Buy also with a big passion. Unfortunately, they're rolling solo here in town soaking up 100% of their 'type' of market. We don't have a Circuit City, CompUSA, Fry's, etc.

Bastards...I wish we'd get someone else to come into town. Everyone asks me why I don't work for Best Buy and I explain the many bad situations, their now-pronounced customer interaction recordings, and their obviously poor business ethics.

Anyways, I hope you like your possible new printer! :) I'd stick with Canon in that aspect.

Well, I live in the bay area, CA so there is plenty of competition. Circuit City opened up 3 months ago accross the freeway from BB, and there is Fry's a couple of miles down.

However, I do like CC more than bestbuy, but I dont understand why people give me giftcards to a store with crappy service, crappy prices, and super loooong lines. I might get a printer, but im not sure where I'd put it or when I'll use it. I might just use other resources and have my prints printed out there (ie. Costco, Walgreens, Shutterfly).

haha, dont get me started with the fake "warranty" from bestbuy. That is THE WORSTBuy!!

i don't think it is work selling it on ebay anymore, prices have come down SO much on them that after the time it will take to list, listing fees, paypal fees, shipping time/cost it jsut won't be worth it.
As for keeping it you already have 2 game systems so do you really need a 3rd? Besides the current xbox 360 is too buigged if you want one wait till mid year when they release the 65nm versions but by then you might aswell wait for the PS3
Do you buy DVDs? y ou can always do that with the store credit. More games for your current consoles? Save up and add to it for a Home Theater setup!? Or you can always sell the GC here on anand :)

Exactly, store stock is slowly building up, people are getting their Gamestop/EB preorders, and Christmas is over. It's not worth the hassel to resell.

Plus, a lot of people are going to see them in-stock, think about how much people were making reselling them before christmas, and try to do the same thing. It's too risky and you could end up losing money on the deal after fees and shipping.

Well, thinking about it some more, it was more of a "oh cr@p, they have it instock" purchase, so I'll probably be returning it back to BB if I dont get someone to buy it on my local craiglist this weekend. By then, I should have some GCs to sell on AT.

Yeah, Xbox360 isn't what it's all cracked up to be. Looking at the box closer, it doesn't look too enticing.
